Evening Sky 8/28/07

While the sky is quite pretty, it pretty much precludes any meaningful viewing in this evening. I’m so glad I was able to have clear (if somewhat hazy) conditions this morning.

I’ve really appreciated all of the comments, encouragement and views I’ve gotten today. I’ve had over 500 visitors to my blog, hundreds of views of my flickr photos (along with a lot of comments), my photos were featured on skyandtelescope.com, wired.com, chattanoogan.com (not up anymore) and tomorrow morning around 6:45am should be on channel 12 WDEF’s morning news program. All of this has been really fun and I hope that it’s encouraged more people to step outside in the evenings and take a look at the heavens. There are amazing sights to be seen!

  3. Thanks – I’ve actually had pretty good weather for a while. The downside was that my grass was getting very thirsty – we’ve had a real drought this summer in Georgia. So while I haven’t been able to see anything since the eclipse (but did get a pretty good view of that) I’m happy for my yard.
