M71 on 10/8/07

I took some long exposures of Andromeda (M31) tonight, but that’s part of a larger project so I probably won’t be posting those for a while until I’m done. Instead, I offer M71 – a globular cluster found in Sagitta. Sagitta is in the Milky Way and so that’s why there are so many stars in addition to the cluster.

This makes 33 Messier Objects so far – I’m more than one quarter complete on my collection and am approaching the one third mark. Slowly but surely…
