M17 – The Omega Nebula

This is from October 5th’s stargazing session – I’ve processed this image 2 different ways to show how different settings affect the final result. The one above was done with DeepSkyStacker and pulls more details in the less exposed areas of the image while the one below is the default image created by the basic Envisage software which shows more subtlety in the color, but less details. I’ll post more info later on how these were created as well as a grid I’m working on similar to my post on exposure times.
