Comet 17P/Holmes on Halloween 2007

Here’s Comet 17P/Holmes as it appears on Halloween. This image is a 330s stacked image. The comet is continuing to enlarge. At this rate by some time late next week I won’t be able to capture the entire thing in one frame on my camera and I will have to patch together and image from multiple frames.

Please try to take a look at this since it’s still visible to the naked eye at night and should be for a while. It’s starting to be obviously fuzzy even without binoculars.
