Hyperdetailed Full Moon on 4/8/09

Filed under: astronomy, Astrophotography, Moon, Observation Journal — Tags: , — Ed @ 12:33 am

After doing the hyperdetailed moon shot last week, I couldn’t wait to try it with the full moon. It took almost 20 more images to cover the whole thing, but in the end, I think it looks pretty good. The only downside is that when the Moon is full, none of the features have much definition. It’s a lot easier to see the details when their shadows throw things into relief. If you click on the image, it will take you to my flickr page. Click on All Sizes and then choose Original to see it at full resolution.
